Nebraska football might be adding a five-star quarterback in the 2024 class and his name is Dylan Raiola.

Just when you thought Nebraska football was finished in the 2024 recruiting class, the Huskers might turn around and land one of the top overall prospects.

Dylan Raiola, the son of former Nebraska football legend Dominic Raiola, was all the rage this past spring. He even took a couple of recruiting visits before eventually committing to the Georgia Bulldogs.

Of course, some fans have wondered if the Huskers would be able to get back in the mix with Raiola but it always seemed like a pipe dream. The focus lately has been on the transfer portal and landing former five-star Kyle McCord who started for the Ohio State Buckeyes before entering the transfer portal.

It was reported that McCord was flying to Nebraska on Monday. In the midst of all this, Steve Wiltfong, the top recruiting expert for 247 Sports has now put in a crystal ball projection for Raiola to flip to the Huskers.

Raiola is the No. 2 quarterback in the 2024 class according to the 247 Sports composite rankings. He’s also the No. 6 overall prospect.

It’s hard to know where this is coming from, but if Nebraska football has the chance to land Raiola, who could be the top-ranked recruit to ever commit — at least in the era of recruiting rankings — they have to take advantage of it, even with three-star QB Daniel Kaelin currently committed.

At the moment, Raiola is committed to the Georgia Bulldogs. We’ll see if it remains that way ahead of Early National Signing Day, which is just nine days away.
