Did Dell Demps' good decisions simply cancel out the bad ones?

Dell Demps is not the best general manager in the NBA. Some might even say he's in the bottom half. Despite making a few key moves at the trade deadline that helped the Pelicans make the postseason (allowing Demps to keep his job), is he running New Orleans around in circles? Here's The Times-Picayune's Jimmy Smith with more:"When Tyreke Evans, this year's opening night starting small...

Reviewing Tyreke Evans' second season in New Orleans

With his second season as a member of the New Orleans Pelicans in the books, Tyreke Evans remains a polarizing basketball player. Eric Gordon shows flashes of old in the playoffs

Despite a 4-0 series loss to the Golden State Warriors, Eric Gordon showed flashes of the player the New Orleans Pelicans thought they had traded for four seasons ago. The Rush To Want Monty Williams Out Of New Orleans Is Understandable… But Premature

One can certainly look at the New Orleans Pelicans’ “sweeping” exit from the 2015 NBA Playoffs and conclude that head coach Monty Williams is not likely to lead this franchise to greater riches. However, there’s a difference between “not likely” and “certain,” and it’s this fundamental point which sits at the heart of the matter for basketball analysts. The New...

The New Orleans Pelicans are playing well, but their inexperience could cost them

What’s surprising, and a bit disheartening, is that the New Orleans Pelicans could play very well throughout their entire playoff series against the Golden State Warriors and still get swept in four games. That’s the reality the Pelicans face after Monday night’s defeat, which saw them go down 2-0 in the playoff series. New Orleans carried over a strong fourth quarter in Game...
