Watch: 12-year-old basketball prodigy challenges Darren Collison in 'Shot at the Champ' series

Darren Collison is a 10-year NBA veteran who previously starred at UCLA as a three-time All-Pac-12 and Pac-12 tournament MVP, but there's one thing Peyton Kemp has that Collison never had.

"Winning a national championship in fifth grade, that was my favorite achievement," the 12-year-old baller, trained by Collison, said by way of introducing himself for Team Whistle's latest "Shot at the Champ" episode.

The 33-year-old last suited up for the Indiana Pacers two seasons ago, and Kemp wanted to see if his mentor still had it, so he challenged him to three shooting competitions: free-throw shooting, three-point shooting, and a trusty game of H-O-R-S-E.

For a 12 years old, Kemp has plenty of confidence. "I'm gonna win. It's gonna be competitive, though, but I'm still gonna win. I ain't gonna say I'm gonna lose 'cause I've got a winner's attitude."

Collison added: "I've been playing basketball probably since I was like four years old, and I always wanted to play against my heroes. Now it's my turn to give back, to play against Peyton Kemp and do the same for him."

We won't spoil the show with details. Watch the full episode below to see if Kemp was able to get Collison off his game with his confidence and trash talk:
