Warriors reportedly willing to trade everyone except for one player

According to a report from Shams Charania on "Run It Back," the Warriors have decided that "everyone but Steph Curry is on the table." That would include Draymond Green and Klay Thompson, two players that would have been unthinkable to trade just six months ago, but Charania acknowledged the Warriors had "an appreciation" for them, rookies Brandin Podziemski and Trayce Jackson-Davis, as well as Jonathan Kuminga.

Marc Stein, one of the NBA's most plugged-in writers, reported Monday that the Warriors weren't moving toward trading Green or Thompson. It would seem nearly impossible to move Green before the trade deadline next month, given that he still hasn't started playing again after his suspension. With Thompson, his $43.2 million salary would be an impediment to a deal even if he wasn't a franchise legend.

Reading between the lines, it sounds like the Warriors are very willing to trade Andrew Wiggins, who has been a shell of the player he was in the 2022 playoffs, when he was Golden State's second-best player behind Curry. It's a bad sign that such an athletic player has just 14 dunks in 33 games, given how his poster dunks in 2022.

Or even in last year's playoffs.

It also means the Warriors could move on from center Kevon Looney, whose scoring and rebounding numbers have also declined as he's lost his starting spot. He's dunked only 15 times this season, after dunking 68 times in 82 games last year. He's either battling an injury or gotten old very suddenly.

The most likely player to move was Chris Paul, whose veteran savvy and expiring $30M contract are both appealing. But his recent hand surgery may complicate those plans. The team also could move former lottery pick Moses Moody, who can't seem to crack coach Steve Kerr's rotation.

There's no telling who the Warriors might deal in the next four weeks. The only one guaranteed to be in a Warriors uniform after the trade deadline is Steph Curry.
