Suns announce Saben Lee is staying in the Valley
Jayne Kamin-Oncea-USA TODAY Sports

Almost out of nowhere, the Phoenix Suns have announced that PG Saben Lee is staying with the team for another season.

Lee originally signed a 10-day contract with the Suns back in January. He would go on to play 23 games with the Suns, averaging 15.8 minutes per game and 6.3 PPG.

Now, Saben Lee, per the Suns press release, has been signed to a two-way contract.

Suns’ GM James Jones spoke on the reason for the contract:

“Saben plays with toughness and aggression on both ends of the court. His point guard instincts and ability to attack the rim are critical traits for us as we seek to build a better team.”

This will be Lee’s fourth season in the league, but his first full one with the Suns. Prior to his time in the NBA, the 24-year-old attended Corona del Sol High School in Tempe, Arizona, where he led the Aztecs to a state championship game.

Stay tuned for further updates.
