Richard Jefferson Makes Bold Claim About Clippers Front Office
Jayne Kamin-Oncea-USA TODAY Sports

It’s been a disappointing season for the Los Angeles Clippers.

Once again, despite being one of the deepest teams in the league and having two of the best two-way players on Earth, they’ve failed to live up to the expectations.

To make things even worse, former NBA champion Richard Jefferson recently revealed that people inside the front office are trying to have a say in Tyronn Lue‘s rotations:

“This is pure speculation. I think there’s some up-top stuff, there’s some coaching stuff, and then there’s some team stuff,” Jefferson said on ESPN. “When you’re talking about Kawhi’s not happy, that’s not coming from Ty Lue, that’s coming from above. There are some people above that might want to poke their nose in some business that they shouldn’t. You should let the coaches coach, you should let the players play. The front office is going to be the front office.”

“I’m hearing grumblings that people up-top are having opinions about who should be playing,” Jefferson continued. “The people up-top have never coached an NBA championship team; that’s the things I’m hearing in Clipperland. There’s a lot of cooks in the kitchen and that is never a good recipe.”

Leonard continues to be a part-time player with his constant load management, and the Clippers have struggled to develop any sort o chemistry.

Adding outside pressure to that situation could set the table for even more trouble in Inglewood.

So, let’s keep an eye on this report, as this is usually a recipe for disaster.
