Report: Nets to add former first-round pick Harry Giles
David Banks-USA TODAY Sports

Free agent forward Harry Giles is headed to the Brooklyn Nets on a one-year deal.

NBA on TNT reported the news, citing his agent, Daniel Hazan. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The Portland Trail Blazers selected Giles, a former Duke star, with 20th overall pick of the 2017 draft and made a draft-day trade that sent him to the Sacramento Kings.

After a season in the G League, Giles debuted with the Kings in 2018-19 and played two seasons there before signing with the Blazers in 2020-21. He signed with the Los Angeles Clippers in September 2021, was waived and then signed to their G League team before sustaining a season-ending injury in January 2022.

The 6-foot-11 Giles also worked out for the Golden State Warriors, New York Knicks and Orlando Magic.

Giles, 25, has appeared in 142 NBA games (17 starts) and has averages of 5.9 points and 3.8 rebounds in 12.9 minutes per game.
