Over the past few weeks, the Philadelphia 76ers have dealt with their fair share of injuries. After playing shorthanded for so long, they're getting some reinforcements from the G-League.

On Monday afternoon, reports surfaced that the Sixers have signed Darius Bazley to a 10-day contract. He has spent the season playing with their G-League affiliate, the Delaware Blue Coats.

Bazley has been one of the top performers for the Blue Coats this season, posting averages of 20.8 PPG, 9.8 RPG and 3.6 APG. Now, the young forward will have another opportunity to showcase his talents at the NBA level.

Before winding up with the Blue Coats, Bazley was drafted 23rd overall by the Utah Jazz in 2019. He was later traded to the OKC Thunder, where he'd spend the first three years of his career.

Midway through the 2023 season, the Thunder traded Bazley to the Phoenix Suns. He'd finish the year out there before inking a G-League deal last offseason.

During his time at the NBA level, Bazley averaged 9.1 PPG and 5.3 RPG. Still only 23-years-old, he is a young prospect rounding out his game.

For the Sixers, Bazley can provide size and athleticism at the forward position. Having a 6-foot-8 option will be big for them as they are extremely depleted in the frountcourt. Along with playing power forward, Bazley might also see stretches as a small-ball center.

It is not a key area of his game, but Bazley is capable to stepping out beyond the arc. For his career, he is shooting 31.0% from three on roughly three attempts per game.

Seeing that they are dealing with a litany of injuries, infusing the roster with some young and energetic talent should provide a boost for the Sixers.
