Oklahoma City Thunder Player Collapses During Timeout Against Trail Blazers
USA TODAY Sports

On Wednesday evening, the Oklahoma City Thunder faced off against the Portland Trail Blazers in Oregon.

The Thunder won the game by a score of 128-120, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the way with 37 points, three rebounds, five assists, one steal and one block while shooting 13/23 from the field.

However, there was a significant concern during a timeout when veteran center Bismack Biyombo appeared to  collapse and ultimately fell to the ground.

Thunder reporter Nick Gallo reported a positive update following the scary fall.

Via Gallo: "Bismack Biyombo has been cleared of any serious medical issue by the Blazers physicians but the Thunder will be conservative and hold him out the rest of the game for monitoring and further evaluation tomorrow."

Biyombo played 30 games for the Grizzlies earlier this season, and signed with the Thunder last month.

He has yet to play significant minutes with Oklahoma City, but is averaging 4.6 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.3 blocks per contest while shooting 55.3% from the field in 34 total games this season.

As for the Thunder (43-19), they are in the middle of an excellent year and are tied with the Minnesota Timberwolves for the first seed in the Western Conference.

Following the Trail Blazers, they will play their next game on Friday evening when they return home to host the Miami Heat in Oklahoma City.

On the road, the Thunder are 19-13 in 32 games, while they have gone 24-6 in the 30 games they have played at home.
