Nuggets Starter Gets Honest About Team's All-Star Snub
USA TODAY Sports

The Denver Nuggets are the reigning NBA Champions and have been a top-3 team in the Western Conference for the majority of the season. Despite that, the team only has one All-Star in Nikola Jokic. It's a cold hard fact that Aaron Gordon can't believe.

After the Nuggets faced off against the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday night, Aaron Gordon was asked about the team only having one All-Star despite being one of the best teams in the NBA. Gordon really couldn't give a proper answer.

"I don't know why that is," Gordon said ."Not entirely sure. That's a mystery to me. Doesn't make any sense. What's crazy is when I was in the outside looking in, it was like 'Denver has only one All-Star, so?' Now that I'm on the inside looking out, I'm like, 'Yo we got [Jamal], we got Mike, we got KCP.' I don't know, it makes no sense to me. [Jamal] definitely should have been an All-Star this year. I'm not sure."

In all honesty, the Denver Nuggets are among one of the more disrespected teams in the NBA. There's no reason for the defending champions to not have two All-Stars, and Jamal Murray definitely deserves to be in that second spot. By the same token, the Sacramento Kings also deserve at least one All-Star.

Still, fans should never forget that the All-Star game is a game of favorites, and that's why the Lakers have two All-Stars despite being the ninth seed.
