Forward Aaron Gordon is way from the reigning champion Nuggets after suffering lacerations to his hand and face when he was bitten by a dog on Christmas Day, the team announced.
Gordon and the Nuggets defeated the Warriors on Christmas in Denver, a game in which Gordon scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. So the incident clearly happened later that day.
The Nuggets said he is in “good condition” but will remain away from the team while he recovers. No timetable for his return was provided.
Gordon, 28, is averaging 13.6 points and 6.9 boards in his fourth season in Denver and 11th season overall.
