'Nobody wants to see us in a 7-game series,' Jimmy Butler puts entire NBA on notice as Miami Heat enter ‘playoff mode’

Last season, the Miami Heat, led by Jimmy Butler, did something remarkable. As the number 8 seed in the Eastern Conference, they bulldozed everyone, including the number one seed, the Milwaukee Bucks . Butler averaged 37.6 PPG during the series. The team didn’t stop there, as the New York Knicks and the Boston Celtics also felt the Heat, literally. 

It’s not the first time he has boasted about his team’s chances, but can they pull it off again this season is something many would love to witness. But with playoff Jimmy Butler, don’t write them out just yet. 

Jimmy Butler is glad to play against the Philadelphia 76ers on the road

Jimmy Butler seems to be the most confident player in the Eastern Conference. After seeing off the Toronto Raptors in the last game of the regular season and clinching a place to face the Philadelphia 76ers and the resurgent Joel Embiid, playoffs Jimmy Butler isn’t fazed.

That's a question that I don't have the answer to. I wish we played better at home. I don't know. Whenever we get on the road, our backs against the wall a little bit. Victory for the Miami Heat against the 76ers would see them match up against the best player in the Eastern Conference, Jalen Brunson, and the New York Knicks. A defeat won’t necessarily spell doom as they would then meet the Winner of the Atlanta Hawks-Chicago Bulls game, leading to them facing title favorites, the Boston Celtics. 

However, with both the Heat and 76ers near full strength, it promises to be an electrifying game, one for the record books. And we can see if Butler can put his money where his mouth is.
