Nikola Jokic is in the midst of the most efficient stretch in NBA history

Forget the 50/40/90 club , Nikola Jokic is the proud owner of a new club that only he's allowed into — the 70/50/90 club. The reigning NBA Finals MVP has been super impressive over the last 15 games, averaging 25.3 points, 11.1 rebounds and 8.7 assists at 71/50/90 shooting splits.

According to StatMamba, Jokic's 15-game span is the most efficient for a 25+ PPG scorer in NBA history. During this stretch, the Nuggets have maintained an 11-4 record and are playing every bit like the reigning champions — best exemplified by their signature win over the Boston Celtics this past Friday.

As hot as Jokic has been, he was even more unstoppable a week ago.

During this remarkable stretch, Jokic — between the games against the Grizzlies on Dec. 29 and the Pacers on Jan. 13 — shot a miraculous 85-105 from the field, becoming the first player in NBA history to shoot over 80 percent from the field in a nine-game span (minimum 100 attempts).

Just consider that fans in Washington began chanting "MVP" at Jokic during the Nuggets’ 113-104 win over the Wizards Sunday night — likely in awe of the Serbian’s greatness.

During the game, Jokic had just another day in the office, going 15-of-20 from the field for 42 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists.

As Jokic continues to log numbers that even the most proficient NBA 2K player would struggle to, the oddsmakers in Las Vegas foresee him winning his third MVP award and leading his Nuggets to the NBA Finals for a second consecutive year.

Yet, the Celtics (+310) are currently the slight title favorites over the Nuggets (+425), per BETMGM, to win the NBA Finals in June.
