Nets F Harry Giles III Thrilled for Return to Sacramento
Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY Sports

In the 2017 NBA Draft, the Sacramento Kings selected Harry Giles III with the 20th overall pick, but his career has fallen short due to injuries. After playing just 104 games through his first three seasons, Giles would find his way onto the Portland Trail Blazers before exiting the league altogether.

Despite being out of the league for multiple seasons, Giles has found his way back as a member of the Brooklyn Nets to revive his career. Giles, 25, is an impressive player with a versatile skill set and deserves another shot at an NBA career after dealing with various injuries.

Giles has not appeared in a game in Sacramento's Golden 1 Center since January 9th, 2021. On Monday, the 25-year-old big man will return to the first NBA city that gave him an opportunity.

Over six years since Sacramento drafted Giles, the talented big man still values the Kings organization, taking to X (formerly Twitter) to express his excitement about returning to the Golden 1 Center:

While Giles has appeared in just three of Brooklyn's 21 games this season, it would be a special moment if he got an opportunity against his former team on Monday night. Giles typically only enters the game in a blowout, but for how much Sacramento means to him, all Kings fans would want to see their former first-round pick get some time, regardless of the score.

Giles makes his return to Sacramento on Monday at 7 P.M. PT/10 P.M. ET.
