The NBA truly is where amazing happens. That's not a motto but a true philosophy, as you never know what shocking news you're going to come across.

Every now and then, a bizarre/surprising/unexpected event happens out of the blue, leaving the fans pretty much in disbelief.

That was the case with Darren Collison, who suddenly retired to focus on his religion and spend some time with his family, even though he was on the verge of signing a lucrative deal as a free agent.

And now, after a couple of seasons of a rumored comeback, the former Indiana Pacers point guard is reportedly ready to test his body again.

After some rumors of interest from the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers, Collison is scheduled to work out with the Golden State Warriors:

"Free agent guard Darren Collison will work out for the Golden State Warriors this week, league sources tell @YahooSports," reported Chris Hanes of Yahoo! Sports.

Albeit his conditioning after such a long layoff will definitely be a concern, the Golden State Warriors could use another veteran playmaker coming off the bench to take some pressure off Stephen Curry.

Collison was nowhere near a superstar or even an All-Star but he was often overlooked and underappreciated. He was a 40+% three-point shooter throughout the latter half of his career and a solid playmaker that could get the job done.

The Golden State Warriors are looking to get back at the top of the Western Conference after a couple of years of not even making the playoffs.

They expect Klay Thompson to be back at full strength somewhere close to Christmas and have put together an impressive roster ahead of next season.

So, even if it may seem like a long shot, perhaps Collison could be the X-Factor for a team looking for a spark to get back to the NBA Finals.
