Michael Porter Jr. appears to grab Zach Collins by neck
Spurs and Nuggets players in altercation Scott Wachter-USA TODAY Sports

The San Antonio Spurs beat the Denver Nuggets 128-120 in a surprising upset on Friday, but not without some angry fireworks along the way. During the third quarter, Denver's Michael Porter Jr. drove to the basket and dunked on Zach Collins. Porter then talked some trash, which led Collins to bump him. And then, well. Just watch.

Collins didn’t like it and went after Porter afterwards, bumping Porter in the back. Porter then grabbed Collins by the neck before the two were separated by officials and teammates.

The players were called for double technical fouls and both were subsequently ejected. After the game, Porter said Collins was lucky that Porter didn’t hit him. He called putting his hand on Collins’ neck a “natural reaction.”

We'll see how that excuse flies with the league office.
