The Clippers are re-signing center Mason Plumlee to a one-year, $5 million contract, agent Mark Bartelstein told Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Plumlee, 33, was acquired from the Hornets in February and played in 23 games with the Clippers. For the season, he appeared in 79 games and compiled averages of 10.8 points and 8.9 rebounds, shooting 68 percent from the field.
Plumlee spurned larger offers to return to LA, Wojnarowski reported. Along with the Hornets and Suns, he has spent time with the Nets, Trail Blazers and Nuggets — and his rugged and hustling style is viewed as a big plus off the Clippers’ bench.
