Mark Cuban endorses Michael Finley to lead Bulls front office
Mavericks owner Mark Cuban thinks Michael Finley would be a great candidate to lead the Chicago Bulls front office.  Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports

Mark Cuban wants to see one of his longtime company men get the chance to be a top executive elsewhere.

The Dallas Mavericks owner said this weekend that former All-Star Michael Finley would be a great fit to lead the Chicago Bulls front office.

“Michael Finley would be amazing in that role,” he said, per Mike Fisher of DallasBasketball.com. “Fin has had a huge impact on the Mavs...Amazing.”

Finley, 47, is the Mavs’ vice president of basketball operations. He also spent nine seasons with Dallas as a player, making him a trusted mainstay.

As for the Bulls, they are looking to hire somebody new to lead their front office. While another well-known NBA executive just turned them down, a young former player like Finley could be the right type of candidate for them.
