A day after handing down a one-year suspension and $10 million fine to Phoenix Suns owner Robert Sarver for inappropriate racist and sexist conduct, the league is now dealing with the blowback.
Many, including the NAACP , have criticized the NBA's decision, and LeBron James is the latest to voice his displeasure with the league.
Taking to Twitter on Wednesday night, James didn't hold back.
behavior. I love this league and I deeply respect our leadership. But this isn’t right. There is no place for misogyny, sexism, and racism in any work place. Don’t matter if you own the team or play for the team. We hold our league up as an example of our values and this aint it.

An investigation into the team revealed serious allegations against Sarver from employees of the Suns and the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury, which Sarver also owns.
Sarver allegedly used the N-word "at least five times," along with "instances of inequitable conduct toward female employees, sex-related comments and inappropriate comments on employees' appearances."
NBA commissioner Adam Silver commented on the negative response regarding Sarver's punishment at Wednesday's Board of Governors press conference. While Silver called Sarver's misconduct "indefensible," he believes the league dealt with the situation in a "fair manner."
Silver had the option to suspend Sarver longer but opted for one year after Sarver showed "complete remorse" for his actions.
"In terms of future behavior, he's on notice. He knows that," Silver said. "Most of the inappropriate activity goes back many years. The Suns workplace is a very different environment today."
