LeBron James leaves floor early during Lakers’ blowout loss
Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James Jayne Kamin-Oncea-USA TODAY Sports

The Los Angeles Lakers got embarrassed on Sunday night, and LeBron James was not happy about it.

James was seen heading off the court and into the tunnel with a few seconds left in the Lakers’ 123-95 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans.

The Lakers also got booed by their home fans at the end of the loss.

This sort of thing is nothing new for LeBron, who has often walked off early with time left in a loss.

The Lakers declined to make any moves at the trade deadline, almost as an admission that they’re not going anywhere this season. They got blown out at home, with their former draft pick, Brandon Ingram, scoring 19 against them.

The Lakers are now 27-33. That’s enough to qualify for postseason contention under the new league rules, but nobody surrounding the team can be happy about where they stand.
