Kings Signing Quinn Cook To Training Camp Deal

The Kings are signing veteran point guard Quinn Cook to a one-year contract, per Marc J. Spears of ESPN and Andscape.

Sacramento actually worked out Cook in July, along with Matthew Dellavedova, who they have also signed. Now, it appears, Cook and Dellavedova will be competing for the third point-guard spot in training camp.

Cook, 29, is 6-foot-1 and last played in the NBA with the Cavaliers in 2020-21, appearing in seven games. He has also spent time with the Lakers, Warriors, Pelicans and Mavericks, winning two championships along the way.

Last season, he played for the Stockton Kings, Sacramento’s G League affiliate.

It’s been a busy offseason for GM Monte McNair and the Kings. Along with hiring Mike Brown as coach, they selected Keegan Murray with the No. 4 overall pick, as well as signed Dellavedova (full post), Malik Monk (post), KZ Okpala (post) and Kent Bazemore (post). They also landed Kevin Huerter in a trade with the Hawks (post), perhaps their most notable move.
