Kings Adding Deonte Burton for Training Camp
Alonzo Adams-USA TODAY Sports

The Kings are signing forward Deonte Burton to a contract for training camp, per Brenden Nunes of Sactown Sports 1140.

Burton, 29, is 6-foot-4 and spent last season in the organization, playing for the Stockton Kings of the G League. He also signed a 10-day deal with Sacramento in late January, appearing in two games.

With Stockton, he averaged 12.0 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 29 games. He has also spent time in the G League with the Maine Celtics and OKC Blue.

From 2018-20, Burton appeared in 71 games total with the Thunder. Before that, he played internationally for a season and was named Korean Basketball League MVP.

While there are no details on Burton’s deal, it’s likely an Exhibit 10 contract that counts only toward the training camp roster.

Sacramento now has 19 players under contract, with 14 on standard deals and three on two-way contracts. Burton joins center Chance Comanche as Kings on camp deals.
