Jazz-Timberwolves Injury Report: Gobert, Markkanen Status Revealed
© Matt Blewett-USA TODAY Sports

The Utah Jazz are headed into the second leg of their back-to-back on Saturday in good spirits after their win last night against former coach Quin Snyder and the Atlanta Hawks, 124-122. Now, the focus quickly turns to the three-seed Minnesota Timberwolves, a team they'll face twice in three days.

Tonight will be the sixth time the Jazz are going up against Gobert since their blockbuster deal in the 2022 summer, as Utah has sustained a 2-3 record going vs. him head-to-head. With Minnesota trying to claw their way up and reach the top seed in the Western Conference in this last month, it won't be an easy task to get the score even.

Ahead of Saturday's contest, both teams released their injury reports showcasing several potential inactive guys:

Utah Jazz:

Lauri Markkanen- QUESTIONABLE (quad)

Minnesota Timberwolves:

Rudy Gobert: QUESTIONABLE (ribs)

Monte Morris: QUESTIONABLE (hamstring)

Kyle Anderson: QUESTIONABLE

Karl-Anthony Towns: OUT (knee)

Jaylen Clark: OUT (Achilles)

The status remains unclear on Lauri Markkanen for the Jazz, who continues rehabbing a quadricep strain. He's been out of the lineup for Utah in their past five matchups, a stretch they've gone 2-3 in.

Minnesota is dealing with more uncertainty on their end, as Rudy Gobert, Monte Morris, and Kyle Anderson are all questionable before Saturday's game. The Timberwolves will already be short-handed without All-Star Karl Anthony Towns dealing with a torn meniscus, so keep a keen eye on where Gobert's status goes before tipoff.

Tonight's contest is scheduled in the Delta Center at 7:30 MT in the Delta Center, where the Jazz will be looking to earn their second-straight dub.
