USA TODAY Sports

On Friday evening, the Houston Rockets  will host the Dallas Mavericks in Texas.

Before the game, the team made several roster moves by recalling Nate Hinton, Jermaine Samuels Jr. and Cam Whitmore from the G League.

Via RGV Vipers: "The Rockets have recalled Nate Hinton, Jermaine Samuels Jr. and Cam Whitmore from their NBA G League affiliate, Rio Grande Valley."

Hinton and Samuels are both on two-way contracts

Meanwhile, Whitmore was the 20th pick in the 2023 NBA Draft and has played in five games for the Rockets so far this season.

The 19-year-old is averaging 4.0 points and 1.6 rebounds per contest while shooting 46.7% from the field and 20.0% from the three-point range.

As for the Rockets, they are the eighth seed in the Western Conference with a 13-12 record in their first 25 games.

They are 5-5 over their last ten games and in the middle of a three-game losing streak.

Most recently, the Rockets lost to Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks (at home) by a score of 134-127.

Following the Mavs, the Rockets will play their next game on Saturday evening when they visit Brandon Ingram and the New Orleans Pelicans.

The Mavs come into the night with a 16-11 record in their first 27 games, which has them as the sixth seed in the Western Conference.

However, they will be playing without their best player (All-Star Luka Doncic).

Following the Rockets, the Mavs will host the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday evening in Dallas, Texas.
