Hornets Sweep Season Series From Memphis
USA TODAY Sports

MEMPHIS, TN - The Hornets achieved the season sweep over the Memphis Grizzlies with a 110-98 victory Wednesday. The Hornets led for the majority of the game and didn't look back.

It was another impressive defensive game for the Hornets holding the undermanned Grizzlies to just 98 points and forced Memphis into 24 turnovers. Offensively, the Hornets were led by Vasilije Micic and Miles Bridges who combined for 52 points.

Interesting enough, in tonight's game the Hornets were not awarded a free throw until the fourth quarter. Ironically, the Hornets still attempted more free throws than the Grizzlies.

Best of the Night: Vasilije Micic

How about that? Best game of the 30-year-old rookie's career with 25 points and eight assists on 9-10 shooting from the field. Micic's previous career-high was 21 just a week ago versus Orlando. The Serbian also added two steals and a career-high five three-pointers.

Worst of the night - Turnovers

Despite the Hornets reaching 110 points in the game, the Hornets had 20 turnovers. In the last five games, the Hornets had not surpassed over 20 until tonight. Steve Clifford won't be too pleased with the turnovers, especially since most of them were unforced errors.
