Heat forward P.J. Tucker limps to locker room in Game 1 against Celtics

Miami Heat forward P.J. Tucker appeared to suffer a right foot injury without contact during Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Tuesday.

Tucker, 37, was helping on defense against the Boston Celtics' Jaylen Brown when he seemed to suffer the injury. After sitting in front of the Miami bench during a timeout, Tucker was helped up and he limped to the locker room.

Last season, Tucker was part of the Milwaukee Bucks squad that won the 2021 NBA Finals. The Heat added Tucker on a two-year deal in the offseason and he started 70 games for the team during the regular season.

Tucker averaged 7.6 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.1 assists during the regular season. He has had similar production in the playoffs with 8.8 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game. He had two points and two rebounds Tuesday night before his second quarter exit.
