Golden State Warriors Release A Player
USA TODAY Sports

Yuri Collins went undrafted in the 2023 NBA Draft this past summer.

The talented point guard played four seasons of college basketball for Saint Louis and is coming off a very impressive year.

Collins averaged 11.2 points, 3.3 rebounds, 10.1 assists and 1.3 steals per contest while shooting 44.2% from the field in 32 games.

Recently, he signed a deal with the Golden State Warriors, but the team has now announced that he has been waived.

Via Warriors PR: "The Golden State Warriors have waived guard Yuri Collins, it was announced today."

Anthony Slater of The Athletic reported that Collins will likely play for the Santa Cruz Warriors (the G League affiliate of the Warriors).

Collins finished his college career with averages of 8.6 points, 3.3 rebounds, 7.6 assists and 1.5 steals per contest while shooting 42.8% from the field over 116 games.

Since he has proven to be a fantastic distributor, he will be a name to watch in the G League this season.

Via ESPN Stats & Info on December 1: "Saint Louis guard Yuri Collins dished out 20 assists in the Billikens' win over Tennessee State tonight.

Collins is the first player with a 20-assist game against a D-I opponent since Trae Young in 2017."

As for the Warriors, they have gone 3-0 in the preseason and will play their next game on Wednesday evening when they host the Sacramento Kings at the Chase Center in San Francisco.

They will play their final preseason game on Friday against the San Antonio Spurs (at home).
