Former NBA Superstar Attempting NBA Return
USA TODAY Sports

John Wall may not be with an NBA team right now, but he's refusing to call his career quits.

Chris Haynes from Bleacher Report revealed that John Wall was working out in Orlando this morning with half of the NBA's teams attending in hopes of an NBA comeback.

Last season with the LA Clippers, John Wall averaged 11.4 points, 5.2 assists, and 2.7 rebounds on 41/30/68 shooting. He did this in 34 games, only starting three times, and averaging 22.2 minutes a game. While some of Wall's shot selection was questionable, he still looked like a very capable NBA player. Especially, when the LA Clippers faced off against the Washington Wizards in December of 2022.

Perhaps where John Wall caught the most fire, was when he revealed his true thoughts about his time in the Houston Rockets. Where Wall revealed that he still believes he's a starting-caliber player and that the Rockets did him very dirty. Still, that shouldn't be enough to ostracize John Wall from the league.

If John Wall were willing to accept a veteran bench role similar to Russell Westbrook, there's no reason for him to not be in the NBA. There are a plethora of younger point guards who could use his mentorship. Whether it's the Orlando Magic, the Detroit Pistons, or even the Oklahoma City Thunder.
