Former NBA All-Star The Boston Celtics Must Consider Signing

Goran Dragic is no longer in the prime of his career when he was a starting point guard in the NBA.  

However, the 37-year-old (who is a free agent) can still be a solid backup and is coming off a season where he played 58 games for the Chicago Bulls and Milwaukee Bucks (he also appeared in two NBA playoff games).   

The 2018 NBA All-Star averaged 6.3 points, 1.4 rebounds and 2.6 assists per contest while shooting 42.1% from the field and 35.9% from the three-point range. 

I believe the Boston Celtics should consider signing Dragic.   

Why?

The Celtics are one of the best teams in the NBA, and coming off a season where they lost to the Miami Heat in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals. 

That said, they could use more point guard depth on the roster, and they also traded Marcus Smart to the Memphis Grizzlies earlier this summer. 

Adding Dragic would give them a true point guard they can rely on as a backup. 

He is an excellent passer and would be able to help run the second unit (while also being able to facilitate for Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown and Kristaps Porzingis).
