Former Knicks Star Reveals Special Moment With Nuggets Champion
USA TODAY Sports

When the Denver Nuggets won the 2023 NBA Championship, not only was it their first in franchise history, but it gave multiple league veterans their first title as well. Amongst those is veteran center DeAndre Jordan, who had been on several different playoff teams prior to joining the Nuggets, but had never won a title.

During a recent episode of All The Smoke, former New York Knicks All-Star Tyson Chandler revealed a special moment he shared with Jordan after the veteran big man became an NBA champion.

"I just ran into DJ," Chandler said. "And me and DJ never really had - you know we see each other, but it's kinda moving along so we've never really had that moment. So I saw him here, and I went over to congratulate him. I was so happy for him that he accomplished that, I wanted to tell him, 'I'm so happy for you, bro.' And he pulled me in and was like, 'Man I just wanted to tell you I appreciate watching you from afar. You don't know what you did for my career.'"

This was a very special moment that Chandler revealed, especially since Matt Barnes - the co-host of All The Smoke, says he was the one who told Jordan to watch Chandler during the Lob City Clippers years. Moments like these are great, and Chandler was able to share one with Jordan.
