'Fair amount of displeasure' between Bogdan Bogdanovic and Bucks after sign-and-trade falls apart

Bogdan Bogdanovic was supposed to be heading to the Milwaukee Bucks to help the team make their championship aspirations a reality. But now, the sharpshooter is set to become a restricted free agent after the deal fell apart and according to The Athletic's Sam Amick, neither the Bucks nor Bogdanovic are happy with how the events have played out.

"I think there’s a fair amount of displeasure between the two sides in terms of the Bucks and Bogdan’s camp," Amick said.

So what exactly is going on here? It's not entirely clear. but here is what we know: on Monday night, the Bucks and Sacramento Kings reached a tentative agreement for Bogdonavic to be sent to Milwaukee in a sign-and-trade in exchange for Donte DiVincenzo, Ersan Ilyasova and D.J. Wilson. However, reports emerged that Bogdanovic had not agreed to the sign-and-trade and before too long, the deal had apparently fallen apart entirely.

Now, the Bucks have missed out on one of the two big names they tried to acquire this week to contend for a title and convince Giannis Antetokounmpo to sign a five-year supermax rather than test the free-agent market next summer. While they still have Jrue Holiday, their future is much less certain than it appeared to be just hours ago.

For Bogdonavic, he now gets to enter restricted free agency and he will surely get a plethora of interest as he is one of the league's better three-point shooters, with the 28-year-old making 37.2% of his nine attempts per game last season.
