Chicago Bulls Reportedly Signing Recent Indiana Pacers Player
USA TODAY Sports

The Chicago Bulls have had a disappointing season, and went into the All-Star break as the 11th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 26-33 record in 59 games.

That said, they are one of the most talented teams in the east, and only 2.0 games behind the Toronto Raptors for the final play-in tournament spot.

On Tuesday, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports that the Bulls are signing recent Indiana Pacers  player Terry Taylor to a two-way contract, and to make room they will waive Malcolm Hill.

Taylor has played in 26 games this season, and is averaging 2.7 points and 1.5 rebounds per contest.

During his rookie season (2021-22), Taylor played in 33 games (including seven starts) and averaged 9.6 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.2 assists per contest (while shooting 61.4% from the field).

The 24-year-old has also played in five G League games this season, and during the Showcase Cup he was sensational.

In four games, Taylor averaged 33.8 points, 11.3 rebounds and 2.5 assists per contest (while shooting 70.1% from the field and 64.3% from the three-point range).

He has proven that can be a solid rotational player in the NBA, so it's a good move for the Bulls to make because a two-way contract provides no long-term risk.

As for Hill, he appeared in 11 games for the Bulls this season and averaged 1.0 points per contest.

The Bulls will play their next game on Friday night when they host the Brooklyn Nets at the United Center.
