Celtics officially sign Dalano Banton

The Boston Celtics just signed point guard Dalano Banton! They did not reveal all the details of the contract, as that is the team's policy. According to Shams Charania from The Athletic, the deal is for two seasons, but they're not making any guarantees for the second season. The 6 feet, 9 inches, and weighs 204 pounds athlete is an excellent addition to the Celtics' roster.

Banton's Game in Numbers

Banton played in 31 games for the Toronto Raptors last season. He recorded averagely 4.6 points, 1.5 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in just 9 minutes per game last season.

But hold on; there's more! He had some impressive stats when he played for the Raptors 905 in the G League. He averaged 24.1 points, 8.9 rebounds, 5.9 assists, and 1.4 steals. Additionally, he played a remarkable 33.6 minutes per game.

Dalano Banton also played college basketball for Nebraska. No other player since 1974 had led the Huskers in rebounding and assists until he did.
