Bucks sign former No. 15 overall pick Justin Jackson

The Bucks are adding forward Justin Jackson on a two-way contract, according to Jim Owczarski of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Jackson spent time in Oklahoma City earlier this season before the Thunder released him. The 26-year-old averaged 7.2 points, and 2.2 rebounds in 16.5 minutes per game during his 33 appearances in OKC.

Jackson was drafted by the Kings with the No. 15 overall pick in 2017 and didn’t blossom in Sacramento. The club traded him to the Mavs in the Harrison Barnes at the 2019 NBA trade deadline. This past offseason, The UNC product was traded to Oklahoma City in the James Johnson deal.

In order to accommodate the move, Milwaukee is converting forward Mamadi Diakite‘s contract from a two-way deal to a multi-year one. Diakite played for the Lakeland Magic in the G League bubble and he’s suited up for the Bucks in 11 contests this season.
