Brook Lopez Made Milwaukee Bucks History Against Hornets

On Tuesday evening, the Milwaukee Bucks  are hosting the Charlotte Hornets in Wisconsin.  

During the game, starting center Brook Lopez made team history by moving ahead of Alton Lister (804) for sole possession of second on the all-time blocks  list

The only player that remains ahead of Lopez is his teammate Giannis Antetokounmpo (966).

Lopez came into the evening with averages of 13.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 2.7 blocks per contest while shooting 48.3% from the field and 34.3% from the three-point range in 55 games.  

The former Stanford star was the tenth pick in the 2008 NBA Draft and is in his sixth season with the Bucks. 

During the 2021 season, he helped the Bucks win the NBA Championship over the Phoenix Suns.  

In addition to Milwaukee, he has also spent time with the New Jersey/Brooklyn Nets and Los Angeles Lakers. 

His career averages are 16.2 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.9 blocks per contest while shooting 49.6% from the field and 34.6% from the three-point range. 

As for the Bucks, they are the third seed in the Eastern Conference with a 37-21 record in 58 games.  

They are 5-5 over their last ten games and are in the middle of a two-game winning streak. 

Most recently, the Bucks beat the Philadelphia 76ers by a score of 119-98.

Following Tuesday's game, the Bucks and Hornets will face off (again) on Thursday evening in Charlotte, North Carolina.
