On Friday evening, the Atlanta Hawks  will be in Florida to face off against the Miami Heat.

Before the game, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the Hawks will sign Vit Krejci to a two-way contract.

Via Wojnarowski: "The Atlanta Hawks are signing guard Vit Krejci on a two-way contract, sources tell ESPN. He’s been playing with Iowa of the G League."

Krejci was the 37th pick in the 2020 NBA Draft and has played two seasons in the league.

He spent his rookie year with the Oklahoma City Thunder and was with the Hawks last season.

His career averages are 3.8 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.3 assists per contest while shooting 40.7% from the field and 31.1% from the three-point range in 59 games.

Before Wojnarowski reported the deal, the Hawks announced that they had waived Miles Norris (which opened up the two-way roster spot).

Norris is in his rookie season and did not appear in a game for the Hawks.

Via The Hawks: "We have requested waivers on two-way forward Miles Norris"

As for the Hawks, they are the tenth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 12-15 record in their first 27 games.

They are 4-6 over their last ten games and in the middle of a two-game winning streak.

Most recently, the Hawks defeated Dillon Brooks and the Houston Rockets (in Texas) by a score of 134-127.

The franchise has made the NBA playoffs in each of the previous three seasons, and reached the Eastern Conference Finals in 2021.
