76ers vs. Nets: Jalen McDaniels' Playing Status in Game 3
USA TODAY Sports

On Thursday night, the Philadelphia 76ers are set to take on the Brooklyn Nets for Game 3 of the opening round of the NBA playoffs, as the series travels to the Barclays Center.

The first two games went the way of the Sixers, as they ran away with Game 1 while having to come from behind in Game 2.

The first half of Game 2 saw the Nets come out strong, with Cam Johnson scoring 22 points to open the game, draining four shots from beyond the arc.

Tyrese Maxey did his best to keep Philadelphia in the game, scoring 15 points, while Joel Embiid was only able to put up a quiet eight.

Coming out of a timeout called shortly in the second half, the Sixers looked unstoppable, erasing the deficit and outscoring the Nets in both the third and fourth quarters.

Maxey and Embiid would be the architects for the comeback, as the partnership combined for 30 points over the closing two periods, which helped cover up a rather quiet night from James Harden.

Another player who had a relatively quiet game was Jalen McDaniels, who had been downgraded to questionable going into Thursday's game, as the 25-year-old suffered from a non-COVID-related illness.

Fortunately for the Sixers, right ahead of game time, Philadelphia has upgraded the forward to be available for game three, hopefully making up for a rather lackluster performance on Monday night.
