Watch: 'I would rather wait out of a weeping racetrack'- Chase Elliott goes on a passionate rant about poor race product at Texas after reconfiguration

We had a great track here, honestly. I mean, I thought we had a phenomenal track. It was one of my favorite places to come. I mean, heck, you could run all over this place, you know. And it just blew me away when they did what they did. It came from, ultimately, rain delays and not being able to get the track dry. You know, that sucks. I get that, but I don't know.I won't speak for them, but I'm a fan as well. I would rather wait out of a weeping racetrack than I had work with or watch what we have now. Chase Elliott said.

The No: 17 Chevrolet Camaro driver seemed to be pretty shocked by the decline of one of his favorite racing tracks. He admitted he would rather wait for the track to get dry than drive there with the new configuration.

Chase Elliott promises to push for his first victory after near miss in Martinsville

Chase Elliot’s last NASCAR Cup Series win was at Talladega in 2022. Ever since then, it’s not been smooth sailing for the 2020 NASCAR champion after his snowboarding accident and disappointing 2023 season.

But, recently the No.17 driver has had multiple top-5 finishes in Richmond and Martinsville and finally seems to be back in rhythm. Moreover, the 28-year-old finished third during the race in Martinsville just behind fellow Hendrick Motorsports teammates William Byron and Kyle Larson . Following the string of successful results Elliot has spoken about how he’ll keep pushing to obtain his victory soon.

We'll see as the weeks continue to pluck off, where we go from here. But I feel like it's been better. Certainly having a shot to win the race in the last restart, it's a positive for us. So, just need to keep working hard, and keep scratching and calling, and hopefully have one go out way sometime. Chase Elliot said.

Elliot finally seems to be back with confidence after all the bad luck and disappointment he’s faced in the last few years. Only time will tell if the driver gets his elusive NASCAR Cup Series win in the remaining rounds of the season.
