Tony Stewart’s driver Chase Briscoe 'frustrated' after scoring the WORST 10th place finish of his career at Martinsville
Randy Sartin-USA TODAY Sports

Stewart Haas Racing’s lead driver Chase Briscoe came to the race at Martinsville with the hopes of making a strong comeback. Ford team’s historic dominance at the track gave him an extra boost. He finished the race at P10, He broke a three-race streak of non-top-10 finishes at the iconic short track as well.

But the No:14 Ford Mustang Dark Horse driver isn’t happy with result that came in the same week as the announcement that he and his wife are expecting twins. Chase Briscoe is frustrated with the result and didn’t hesitate to brand it as the worst P10 finish of his career. A poor pit-stop and trouble to pass on the track were the reason’s for his result.

I am frustrated. We ran 10th but that was the worst 10th. We were better than that all race long, so that is frustrating. We kept shooting ourselves in the foot. We lost a couple of spots on pit road and then ran long and lost a lot of track time there. Chase Briscoe said via NBC.

Briscoe, who drives for Tony Stewart, has valid reasons to be frustrated as on Sunday SHR had some of the fastest cars of the day.  He had the opportunity to secure enough momentum that would’ve helped him set the No:14 crew for race win contention in the upcoming events. The Mahindra sponsored driver hasn’t won a single race since Phoenix regular season race in 2022.
