With an amazing finish in the Dead On Tools 250, Justin Allgaier wins at Martinsville over Sheldon Creed to advance to the Championship 4. The NASCAR Xfinity Series put on a SHOW tonight.

In a thrilling evening, we got exactly what we wanted from the Round of 8 elimination race. Drivers that had to win stepped up in this big moment, others were unfortunately struggling throughout the day. It all came down to these last few laps.

Sammy Smith looked like he was going to run away with this race. Then, caution after caution. Things just started to fall apart at the end as drivers lost grip on tires and started to slide all over the place.

A late red flag came out after a massive wreck collected about a dozen cars. That set up the restart with Austin Hill and Sheldon Creed battling it out in front of Smith and Cole Custer. You couldn’t have written a better scenario. Overtime racing with the highest stakes and Justin Allgaier stepped up in a big way.

Justin Allgaier comes out on top, out of nowhere almost.

Sheldon Creed goes into his final race with RCR after a massive heartbreak. He could have advanced with a win. However, he will now finish things up before moving on to his next venture in NASCAR. Justin Allgaier was just better.

So, Justin Allgaier wins his fourth race of the season and will have a chance to win his first Xfinity Series championship a week from now. It will be Allgaier, Sam Mayer, John Hunter Nemechek, and Cole Custer will race for the championship.

This is a huge moment for Allgaier. He has been trying for a championship for years. He gets another shot at one this year after a great season so far.
