Chase Elliott tells Kenny Wallace he’s in ‘no rush’ to get married

While Chase Elliott was getting prepared for the race at Bristol this weekend, Kenny Wallace had a very important question for him. Elliott joined Wallace for Trackside Live and was able to put on a little talk show for the fans in attendance. Kenny had to know if NASCAR‘s Most Popular Driver had any wedding plans in his future.

Those of you out there that are hoping to never see that happen, don’t worry. Chase Elliott is in no hurry to tie the knot with anyone. I’m not sure he even has a girlfriend at the moment. If he does, I hope she’s not in a rush to get a ring.

Elliott was funny and charismatic in his answer. The 27-year-old driver seemed a lot more laid back than he has been lately.

“I’m not against it by any means. I also think, what’s the rush? I’m not against it, you find the right one and the timings right, why not, I’m good with it. But I’m in no rush, I’m not even 30. What’s the rush?”

It doesn’t sound like Chase Elliott will be getting married anytime soon. He might find himself in victory lane again, though.

Chase Elliott still winless in 2023

It has been more than a tough season for Chase Elliott. Even with the injury and the suspension, you can’t hang your hat on much. Even when Elliott has run in the top 5 and the top 10, he hasn’t felt like a threat to win.

There has been some consistent progress, though. From Daytona to now, Elliott has finishes of P4, P8, P6, and P7. There is finally some consistency again. We thought the same thing between Sonoma, Nashville, and Chicago earlier this season as well, but that didn’t pan out, either.

There are times when drivers have streaks like this and they use the momentum to get over the hump and get a win. I’m not sure I’ve seen that kind of speed out of the 9 team in these four races, even though he was running well in all four events.

As Chase Elliott moves on to tracks like Talladega, the Roval, and Martinsville – he can win at any of them. I wouldn’t be shocked to see him win at Phoenix or Las Vegas, either. Texas and Homestead, you could argue, are the most difficult tracks out of the remaining seven weeks for Elliott.
