UFC's Joe Rogan Shares Interesting Reaction To UFC Antitrust Lawsuit

Joe Rogan has reacted to the UFC antitrust lawsuit.

Past fighters involved in the lawsuit allege the UFC has been able to shortchange its athletes due to monopoly power. If the argument holds true, the UFC would've broken the Sherman Antitrust Act. UFC CEO Dana White has told reporters that he doesn't deal with the legal matters when it comes to the lawsuit.

Rogan has shared his thoughts on the situation and argued that what the UFC is doing is no different than other top sports organizations.

Here's what Joe Rogan had to say on the UFC antitrust lawsuit during his UFC 297 Fight Companion stream.

"What is the argument? They're definitely the best at it, but the monopoly argument, the problem with that, you could make that with the NBA, you could make it with the NFL, you can make that with Major League Baseball," Rogan said. "If you're playing for an additional football league outside the NFL it's just like ⎯ I've said this before on the podcast and some fighters got mad at me, listen I understand if you go to Bellator if they pay you more money, and I support you doing that. What I'm saying is if you wanna be the best in the world, you wanna be the most famous motherf*****, the king of the king at 155 pounds, 170 pounds, 185, 205, you have to fight in the UFC."

Rogan went on to say he has no issue with ex-UFC fighters going to the PFL and trying to make $1 million. He says his point is simply that it gets no bigger in MMA than the UFC.

Some juicy details into the UFC's business dealings have been unearthed as a result of the ongoing legal battle. That includes the salary of Khabib Nurmagomedov's fights before he became a UFC champion. A text exchange between Dana White and then-UFC owner Lorenzo Fertitta on Jon Jones' contract situation back in 2014 was also revealed.
