UFC bantamweight champion Sean O'Malley has weighed in on the recent hoopla regarding recent comments from Joe Rogan.

During an episode of the "JRE MMA Show," Rogan told guest Bo Nickal that he thinks top talents in any MMA organization other than the UFC may not be fulfilling their full potential.

“No disrespect to the other organizations, there’s very good fighters in the other organizations, but I often feel like they’re wasting their career,” Rogan said.

Rogan also said that while leagues such as the recently formed UFL are out there, people associate American football with the NFL. He says it's the same when it comes to people viewing the UFC as the end all, be all for MMA.

During an episode of the "TimboSugarShow," Sean O'Malley said he feels people may not be listening to what Joe Rogan actually said, but are just reading one line and passing judgment.

"That's what he said, but it sounds worse when you just read like a headline or something like that," O'Malley said. "But yeah, he's saying like, 'God, if you're a professional fighter, you want to be in the UFC. Even if you're not getting paid as much, you have bigger opportunity, bigger opportunity for sponsors, more eyeballs are on you.'"

We've already seen fighters such as Bellator title contender Corey Anderson weigh in on Rogan's comments. Chael Sonnen also shared his opinion, saying that context is key when you're discussing a fighter who never made the jump to the UFC.
