Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

The Hawaiian island of Maui has been severely damaged by catastrophic wildfires that have killed dozens of people and destroyed towns.

In order to give aid, several figures and key organizations from the combat sports world have shown their support, rallying to aid the people of Maui as they fight through this tragic event.

Leaving many of the islands inhabitants with no choice but to flee their homes, the UFC are looking to raise money to support the relief efforts whilst other individuals have aimed to help the fleeing inhabitants settle somewhere else for now.

In a post by No Jumper, they reported that Floyd Mayweather has helped contribute to the support, using his financial wealth to support the families in need.

"Floyd Mayweather is stepping up in a huge for for over 100 people displaced by the horrible wildfires in Maui. He's not only paying for almost 70 families to fly to safety but also providing them with a place to stay, food to eat, and clothing to wear."

The UFC have also contributed by raising money to support the relief efforts alongside a donation.
