'Should Be Aljo, But Dana Hates Him' - MMA Fans React To Bo Nickal Bagging UFC 300 Main Card Spot Over Ex-Champs Procházka, Figueiredo, Sterling

The promotion recently finalized the bout order for next month's milestone UFC 300 pay-per-view, but its reveal hasn't come without some controversy.

The April 13 event has been a prominent talking point since the turn of the year. And while the stacked card has understandably been surrounded with plaudits, not every topic has been a positive one.

And just as negative takes on the light heavyweight championship headliner between Alex Pereira and Jamahal Hill began to die down, a new debate has broken out.

This time, it's focused on the placement of Nickal's latest outing. The three-time NCAA Division I National Champion and three-time Big Ten Conference Champion out of Pennsylvania State University will make the walk for the third time to face Cody Brundage.

In a decision that has been widely criticized, the middleweight prospect is set for a main card spot at the Las Vegas-held event. And his presence has relegated the likes of former champions Jiří Procházka, Deiveson Figueiredo, Cody Garbrandt, and Aljamain Sterling to the prelims.

MMA Fans Express Fury Over Nickal's UFC 300 Placement

Pundits, fans, and even some fighters were quick to outline their thoughts on Nickal vs. Brundage getting a PPV position over some ex-titleholders.

Suffice to say, the reactions looked to be mostly negative...

Nevertheless, Nickal will look to block out that noise and deliver another dominant performance inside the Octagon come fight night at UFC 300 on April 13.

Brundage, meanwhile, has previously acknowledged that his opportunity to compete on the milestone card is down to how high the UFC is on Nickal. Regardless, he'll hope to take advantage of that to elevate his own name inside T-Mobile Arena.
