It was surprising to see that Anthony Pettis and Donald Cerrone were not on the main card in UFC 249.

Cerrone entered Saturday night having lost three consecutive fights to Conor McGregor and fellow UFC 249 competitors Justin Gaethje and Tony Ferguson. For his part, Pettis had also lost two consecutive bouts heading into Saturday evening in Jacksonville, Florida.

In the end, Pettis defeated Cerrone by unanimous decision, 29-28. It was a hotly contested affair between the two big-name fighters. Each landed big blows. But Cerrone would ultimately lose his fourth consecutive fight.

Some who did not agree with the decision expressed their dissatisfaction on Twitter.
