White Sox place Lance Lynn on 10-day IL with strained trapezius

The Chicago White Sox placed right-hander Lance Lynn on the 10-day injured list with a strained right trapezius, the team announced Sunday.

It's unclear when he might return.

Lynn has been a solid addition to the White Sox rotation this season. The 33-year-old is 1-1 with a 0.92 ERA, 0.915 WHIP and 27 strikeouts in 19.2 innings. He became the first White Sox pitcher to strike out 10-plus batters without walking anyone in back-to-back starts.

With Lynn sidelined, the White Sox are left with Lucas Giolito, Dallas Keuchel, Dylan Cease and Carlos Rodon.

Chicago is third in the AL Central with a 7-8 record after defeating the Boston Red Sox in the first game of a doubleheader on Sunday.
