Watch: Vladimir Guerrero Jr. throws runner out with smooth behind-the-back toss

Since a position change to first base, Toronto Blue Jays' first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has seen a marginal improvement in his defensive game over the past few seasons.

With some increased confidence in the field, the fourth-year pro might be getting a little cocky.

On Wednesday night against the Baltimore Orioles, Guerrero made a slick play worthy of the highlight reel, throwing a runner out at first base.

In the bottom of the third, Guerrero charged a slow chopper off the bat of Orioles' rookie catcher Adley Rutschman before tossing the ball behind his back to pitcher Alex Manoah who was covering first for the out.

After struggling at third base during his rookie season, the Blue Jays moved Guerrero to first base. So far, the transition has been a smooth one.

Earlier this season, Guerrero said he believes he's playing the best first base of his life.

While the 23-year-old's defense has begun to mature, he's continued to mash at the plate. Guerrero isn't on the same torrid pace as last season but has still posted solid numbers for the Blue Jays.

Guerrero has 27 home runs and 81 RBI in 134 games, slashing .275/.342/.481.
