Twins activate outfielder Alex Kirilloff from 10-day IL

On Friday, the Minnesota Twins activated outfielder Alex Kirilloff from the 10-day injured list

Kirilloff has been out of the Twins' lineup for nearly three weeks with inflammation in his right wrist.

Last season, Kirilloff had his rookie season cut short after surgery to repair a torn ligament in the same wrist.

Kirilloff previously underwent Tommy John surgery in 2017, though he rebounded the following two seasons. In 2018, playing for Low-A Fort Myers and High-A Cedar Rapids, Kirilloff batted .348, with an on-base percentage of .392 and a .578 slugging percentage. The following season at Double-A Pensacola, Kirilloff finished with a .283 batting average, .343 on-base and .413 slugging.

The former first-round pick of the Twins has made just 18 plate appearances in five games this season.

Kirilloff made his major league debut in 2021, playing in 59 games for Minnesota. The 24-year-old finished with a .251 batting average and .299 on-base percentage while slugging .424. He tallied 54 hits, eight home runs, 34 RBI, and 14 walks in 231 plate appearances.
