This SGP fades the fading White Sox

Tuesday's MLB parlay hit, and we're going to continue the week with another. But instead of a traditional parlay, we're going to do a same-game parlay (SGP). The final leg of Tuesday's parlay was the Twins +1.5 on the runline against the Chicago White Sox, and we're going to stay right there with this SGP.

While both teams might be done once the regular-season ends, the White Sox sure looked like they checked out a week ago, which is why betting against them is the right play. There's a really good chance the Twins beat the White Sox on Wednesday, but just to be safe, we're going to take the Twins +1.5 on the runline.

Not only have the White Sox lost seven straight, they managed just two hits on Tuesday, and won't have Tim Anderson or Luis Robert for the remainder of the year. And why should they bring them back? The season's over, might as well do everything you can to have them fully healthy for next season.

Same goes for manager Tony La Russa. Chicago said last week La Russa won't return to the dugout for the remainder of the season due to ongoing health issues, but it sounds like his days as skipper on the southside of Chicago are done for good. With all the commotion going on, you should keep betting against the White Sox.

As for the second leg of our SGP, take the under of 10.5 runs in this one. The White Sox haven't scored more than three runs in five straight games and the final score for each game has been under 10 during that span. Without Robert and Anderson, the White Sox simply can't score consistently. There's a chance the Twins could rock Chicago starter Johnny Cueto, but that's pretty unlikely based on his 3.71 ERA.

And our final leg: the over of 2.5 strikeouts for Twins starter Josh Winder. Winder is far from a strikeout pitcher, but the White Sox struck out 14 times on Tuesday, including 10 times to starter Bailey Ober. And make no mistake about it, Ober is far from a strikeout pitcher. The White Sox have been hot garbage as of late, and you're foolish not to keep betting against them.

In the news ...

Cardinals, Yankees clinch division titles The New York Yankees clinched the AL East and a first-round bye with a 5-2 win over the Toronto Blue Jays on Tuesday, and the St. Louis Cardinals secured the NL Central with a 6-2 victory against the Milwaukee Brewers on Tuesday. The Cardinals are 9.5/1 favorites to win the NL pennant, and 22/1 favorites to win the World Series, while the Yankees are 2/1 favorites to win the AL pennant, and 5/1 favorites to win the World Series.

Judge's homerless streak increases to 7, still stuck on 60 homers — AL MVP frontrunner Aaron Judge remains at 60 home runs after going 0-for-1 with four walks and two runs on Tuesday against the Toronto Blue Jays. However, Judge remains still just one home run away from tying Roger Maris' American League single-season home run record of 61, and two from breaking it. With eight regular-season games remaining, Judge has +180 odds to break Maris' record in the Yankees final five games against the Texas Rangers, +200 not to reach 62 home runs, +225 to break Maris' record against the Baltimore Orioles and +1400 to break Maris' record on Wednesday against the Toronto Blue Jays (odds via Caesars).

LIV Golf close to deal with Fox Sports — The controversial LIV Golf circuit is nearing a deal with Fox Sports to broadcast its events. LIV has had five events so far in its inaugural season, and has had more than 25 former PGA Tour members switch over to them.
